Doan, Aaron, and members of the team had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Sleapy’s Day event in Merewether on Saturday 18th July. Sleapy’s Day is a fantastic annual event hosted by Robynn and Peter Sleap through the Sleapy’s Foundation, raising critical funds to support families and individuals across Northern New South Wales facing serious illness, hardship, or crisis.
As part of the global 2026 May Measure Month campaign, the team provided free blood pressure checks to members of the community.
High blood pressure affects 1 in 3 Australian adults, yet only half are aware they have the condition. Often referred to as the “silent killer”, high blood pressure usually has no symptoms, making regular checks the only way to know whether your blood pressure is within a healthy range.
The May Measure Month campaign aims to raise awareness of hypertension and the serious health risks associated with it. High blood pressure is the leading preventable risk factor for stroke, heart attack, kidney disease, and dementia, and remains one of the world’s leading causes of preventable death.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the local community, promote cardiovascular health awareness, and encourage people to know their numbers through regular blood pressure checks.
