Sayumi is studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Newcastle and volunteers at the cardio-oncology lab at HMRI in her spare time. Inspired by the expanding field of cardio-oncology research and the encouragement and support of Prof. Doan Ngo, she was excited to take part and gain hands-on laboratory experience.
She has a longstanding passion for medical research and plans to pursue a PhD in the future, with hopes of contributing to meaningful advances in patient care.
